My 12 Weeks on Slimfy – Weeks 7 – 9
I’ve passed the halfway point on this Slimfy experiment, and I am feeling better and better each day! I have still been pretty consistent with taking the supplements, although I noticed that I had a few days when I forgot to take the supplements in the morning. Luckily, I remembered in time, and I just took them a little later in the day.
My Slimfy Journey – Week 7
At this point, I can safely say that the cleansing reactions are completely gone! I’m noticing that I feel lighter and happier, and my energy levels are still staying consistent. In fact, my energy levels have been so high that I haven’t felt the desire to take an afternoon nap, which is a huge benefit since I usually want to sit down and take a load off after eating lunch.
Also, my husband finally said something about the weight loss! He commented about the fact that I was looking better, and he asked me what I was doing differently. He admitted that he noticed it a few weeks ago, but he didn’t want to bring it up because he knows that I am sensitive about my weight. It gave us a chance to have a heart-to-heart conversation and he wants to be supportive as I finish out the rest of the 12-week program. I’m really excited to see how much closer we will grow together since he’s by my side helping me with the weight loss.
BTW- I weighed in this week, and I am down 16 pounds! I realize that I still have a ways to go, but it felt great to see such a difference on the scale. I’m excited to see the numbers decreasing, but I’ve been trying to avoid stepping on the scale too frequently, because I really way to focus on improving my health instead of simply just decreasing the numbers on the scale.
My Slimfy Journey – Week 8
One interesting thing that I am noticing is that I am able to sleep much better at night. For the longest time, I had a hard time sleeping and I felt the need to get up to check on my kids all night long. I still wake up occasionally, and sometimes I will get up to see how the kids are doing, but overall my sleeping patterns are much better. I’m having an easier time falling asleep at night, and I even woke up before my alarm clock a few times this week. If the alarm goes off, I find that I’m able to quickly pull myself out of bed, instead of hitting the snooze button 2 – 3 times like I used to do every morning.
I’ve also decided that I want to improve my exercise routine, especially since I have so much more energy. I didn’t exercise much before I started this program, but I am really enjoying the Zumba classes at the local rec center. I’ve been going to Zumba every Tuesday and Thursday nights, and I’ve had the chance to meet a few new friends! I would have never been able to do Zumba before, because I was too tired and I didn’t feel comfortable dancing in front of so many other people. Now, I’m feeling more comfortable in my own skin and I love the movement and music!
My Slimfy Journey – Week 9
Not much to report this week, other than the fact that I am feeling better and better each day. I’m still noticing gradual changes in the way my clothes are fitting, which makes me really optimistic that this weight loss will be sustainable. In the past, I’ve been focused on losing weight as quickly as possible, but right now it’s more important for me to lose weight at a reasonable rate and be able to maintain the lower weight for a longer period of time.
I can’t believe that I am 75% of the way through this experiment! It’s been great to see the changes that are happening within my body, and I really hope that you are enjoying the information that I have been sharing along the way.
