My 12 Weeks on Slimfy – Weeks 1 – 3

One of my biggest pet peeves about reading weight loss product reviews is the fact that so many products are shared without solid information to back up the claims of the product. I have been searching for the right way to lose weight and get rid of the baby fat that I’ve been carrying around after having 2 kids, and my hope is that Slimfy will be the product that helps me to gain my pre-baby body back. My Slimfy Journey – Week 1

I’ll be honest, this first week was a little difficult as I started the Slimfy diet. Like any other weight loss program, I started with great intentions and the first 2 or 3 days were fairly easy.
In addition to taking the supplements, I decided that I wanted to make an adjustment to my eating patterns as well. I’m not going on a drastic crash diet though, because I want to see just how well the supplements work.

 

So, I’m trying to reduce the amount of sugar and junk food that I’m eating, although I still let myself indulge in a few bites of my favorite chocolate after the kids go to bed.
For me, days 4, 5, and 6 are always the hardest points on a diet, because the cravings have really set in and I just want to binge on chocolate for dinner.

 

But, I was pleasantly surprised to see that my body is responding well to the supplements and the cravings haven’t been too severe so far. I’m hoping that finishing out the first week on a good note will give me the momentum to go into the next week even better than ever. I need to work off this momentum, to make sure that I can get through all 12 weeks.
BTW- I weighed myself on the day before I started, and my starting weight is 174. I’m hoping to break the 150 barrier, and then eventually get back into the 130’s where I was in high school.

My Slimfy Journey – Week 2

I read that this first stage is all about detoxification, which is part of the reason that I am trying to cut out the processed food. It doesn’t really make sense to me that I should be detoxifying my body and putting toxins in at the same time. So, I’ve really tried to stay away from unnatural ingredients, although I’ve had a few treats at the office when my co-workers have brought in things to share with everyone.
One thing that I’m noticing is the fact that my bathroom patterns have changed just a little bit. It sounds funny for me to be writing this in a public setting, but I’ve noticed that I tend to go to the bathroom a little more frequently. It’s nothing to be worried about though, and I’m pretty sure that it’s just a “cleansing reaction” as my body is getting rid of the toxins that have built up over the years.
Since I’m flushing the toxins out of my body, I decided that it would be best to increase my water consumption at the same time. So, I carry a water bottle with me and I make sure that I’m getting at least 8 glasses of filtered water every day.

My Slimfy Journey – Week 3

Wow! My energy really seems to be increasing this week! I noticed a little bit of extra energy last week, but I am amazed to see how much better I am feeling in the 3rd week. I guess it goes to show that the detoxification process really works to speed up the functions in the body.
I’m also noticing that my pants are starting to fit a little differently. In fact, I tried on a pair of my old jeans, and I was surprised to see that I was able to button them up for the first time in a year! I’m excited to see how things go over the next few weeks, and the success with the jeans has motivated me to keep going with the program.
